Ferrell

Bassist

Ferrell

Ferrell did not start his musical career in high school; he took up bass guitar after graduating from high school. His first lessons were with JT Burley, bass player of the Screaming Iguanas of Love. However, life had a different plan for him as he decided to partake in college, take up engineering, and focus on his family life, and thus put music on the back burner for some time.

In his early years, Ferrell jammed with his friend Erick, who then moved on to playing guitar for Karyn Rochelle and the Mumblers, George Canyon, Garth Brooks, and Trisha Yearwood. It wasn’t until 25 years later that Ferrell got back on the stage and actually played bass live for the first time with a cover band called the Dungeon Dogs. For 7 years, Ferrell and two coworkers made music come alive and perform in different areas.

The Dungeon Dogs have been active in more than 100 shows, but the group split up during the COVID-19 pandemic. After that, Ferrell joined his friend, a vocalist named Jay, and they formed a hard rock cover band called Misery ❤️ Co.; they played in Central Florida until this band also split up in 2022. He worked on some other projects in the interim before joining Plush Velvet, a Stone Temple Pilots Tribute Band USA, in late 2023. As part of Plush Velvet, Ferrell now brings his talent to Stone Temple Pilots Tribute Shows, recreating the magic of STP’s music for fans old and new. Ferrell is now part of the live tribute scene, spreading the love for these bands to the old and new generation.
