Booty
Booty is a drummer hailing from just south of Boston, MA, and is proud to be an endorser of Vater. He got his first drum set at the age of 11 and was influenced by Keith Moon of The Who, who was wild and crazy.
Booty got his first professional music experience in Germany in 2003 when he joined a pop-rock band. He then moved to Orlando, Florida, after three years. When he was in Orlando, he met a band called SoulSwitch that needed a drummer at Discount Music Center. Since the band was rehearsing with a metronome, there was no live drummer, and Booty seized the opportunity to play. He unpacked his set and viola, performed a live audition and got the position of drummer of the group.
Booty was on the drums, and SoulSwitch released an album titled “As It Seems,” a production by Michael “Elvis” Baskette, who is famous for his work in Stone Temple Pilots’ No. 4 and Incubus’s Make Yourself. The band also had the chance to perform at Stone Temple Pilots tribute band events and share the stage with great rock bands like Korn, Sevendust, Alice In Chains, and Limp Bizkit in front of thousands of fans.
Booty’s goal as a drummer is simply to make the audience happy and energetic during the performance. He admires Eric Kretz, the drummer of Stone Temple Pilots, and wants to dedicate his performances to him. Make sure to look for Booty’s trademark sticks at the end of a Plush Velvet performance as he continues to be one of the top Stone Temple Pilots tribute performers. Fans of the genre can catch him at various STP tribute shows across the USA, creating a unique STP tribute experience for all.
